I am trying to do a project about bike messengers in San Francisco. So whenever I spend time, which is very limited, on SF street, I try to capture some shots about their lives. This is the first one. I will post more as the project goes.
This is my first time to do this sort of documentary stuff. I found it is very hard once it comes to taking photos of people. Some of the messengers feel a little offended when I raise my camera. As a matter of fact, I pissed off the owner of this bike by keeping snapping photos at it. I don't blame them. I will just sit at the street corners where they usually hang, hope to get to know them and wait for my opportunity. Patience is the key.
